Our Story

Emerging from the Santa Lucia train station in Venice was a life-changing moment for me and my soon-to-be wife. 

 

It was May 26, 1997, and the goal of exploring the worlds of my ancestors was finally brimming over into the reality of my life. 

 

Over the next 30 days, we explored 15 cities in ten different countries. With each new museum and every new flavor, we were laying the foundation for our future life and love of travel.

 

And for 23 of those days, I traveled with an engagement ring hidden in my pocket. 

 

She said yes at Versailles, married me in Chicago and pledged that we would raise our kids with the same wanderlust that defined our first few years together. 

 

Three kids and more than 40 trips later, we're happily exploring and introducing the joys (and frustrations) of travel to our children and excited to share our experiences and knowledge of traveling to Europe with kids to you.
